Guided meditations

Hi, everyone! Today our CSO – Inna Maltzeva – would like to tell you about one of the most exciting parts of our project - mindfulness meditation in virtual reality. So how does it work?

Mindfulness meditation is a practice of actually being present in the moment. Bringing attention to form people's ability to devote one hundred percent of their time to the current moment of perceiving the external or internal world as it is – without criticism, evaluation, and condemnation (calmness, prudence, and knowledge).

Mind + fulness

Mindfulness is a unique meditation technique that psychologists and psychotherapists call "fitness for the mind"
People's thoughts constantly run from the past to the future, increasing stress levels and causing unreasonable anxiety. It is a meditation that will allow a person to realize the importance of the current moment and live today, filling it with joy and meaning.
Meditation profoundly and in many ways affects people's cognitive functions and mental health. Science has been researching mindfulness for a long time; these are the main benefits of such meditations:
− reduction of stress, anxiety, and fears
− reboot and mental rest
− improvement of memory and training of attention
− improvement of creative and creative abilities
− improved sleep and increased vitality
− improvement of family relationships
Mindfulness is a unique meditation technique that psychologists and psychotherapists call "fitness for the mind."
People's thoughts constantly run from the past to the future, increasing stress levels and causing unreasonable anxiety. It is a meditation that will allow a person to realize the importance of the current moment and live today, filling it with joy and meaning.
Meditation affects the brain and changes its structure. One of the main mechanisms behind these changes is neuroplasticity, the ability of the human brain to change in response to new experiences. This ability allows a person to monitor how the limbic (emotional) system takes control and transfers it to the neocortex. Therefore, when a person learns to work with stress, he can restore his dynamic balance.

A person, when using mindfulness practices, acquires a skill that in the future will allow him not to get stuck in an undesirable emotional state but to get out of it on his own. By practicing meditation, a person can develop flexibility in thinking, improve memory, and activate attention.

Two facts about the effectiveness

Two facts about the effectiveness

Fact 1 (Research by neurophysiologist Sarah Lazar) - Meditative practices lead to structural changes in the brain and slow down the aging process

Fact 2 (Research by psychiatrist Jadson Brewer) - Mindfulness practices have a positive effect in the fight against addictions

Mindfulness & PsyTech VR

Mindfulness & PsyTech VR

Our team has developed mindfulness meditations in VR, a tool for training concentration of attention, in which a person can be imprinted in the present moment. You can practice guided mindfulness sessions with PsyTech VR and fully immerse yourself in meditation by vising virtual worlds that allow you to focus on the topic of meditation and do not let you get distracted.
The main goals of the PsyTech VR mindfulness meditation course are to provide real psychological help to people who need to reduce stress and anxiety levels, improve family relationships, memory, and sleep, as well as increase people's creative capabilities, and teach them the practice of individual VR training.
The course consists of training on ten types of mindfulness meditations (on the seashore, in the forest by the fire, in the mountains, at the bottom of the ocean, near the tops of mountains, in space, etc.), which are independent training in the VR program PsyTech VR.
PsyTech VR includes an LMS system with courses, VR/AR content, and a platform for specialists that provides access to training statistics and virtual telemedicine. Psychologists and psychotherapists can use PsyTech VR technology to treat anxiety, stress, and disorders.
Users can access individual VR training and virtual sessions through VR telemedicine with authorized mental health specialists in the marketplace. The cost of consultations with a specialist is paid through the platform separately from the subscription.
